Proservartner is an international consulting firm, they were looking to add to their strength in the finance area by adding desktop automation into their service mix.
Proservartner had only completed a few projects in this space but already had recruited a full team to expand in this area, that meant we needed to create an entire sales pipeline from scratch with little to nothing in place. As the first hire in a new 5 person sales and marketing team, I came up with an aggressive sales and marketing strategy to try and grow as quickly as possible.
I developed a complete new marketing suite with several different verticals, industries and product types. This included a new website, whitepapers, flyers and videos. As a challenger brand, one of the key outcomes needed to be to install trust and pedigree in everything we did. I realised the benefit of producing more ‘self-service’ content in our pipeline that showcased our knowledge. I also oversaw the management and delegate acquisition of thirty events. (both physical, virtual and exhibition shows) In terms of sales approach, it was key that I not become a roadblock in the sales process. Everything I implemented had to be editable by the sales people. Every campaign we worked on needed to have a very clear audience and outcome.
I quickly turned these assets and events into measurable results with over 471 marketing leads created and around £1.64m of sales from resulting pipeline. The database grew from a few hundred, to tens of thousands. Our website views quadrupled. Where inbound leads were in the tens per year, they became regular with every few days. I also gained certifications as an automation business analyst and bot developer with Automation Anywhere.
Unfortunately, as Covid hit, the company asked all senior managers to take a paycut whilst simultaneously hiring several new people and myself and several others left.
